Participatory Planning Workshop-1 with Community Members
On June 21, 2025, the ReWET Participatory Planning Workshop was held in Korail, organized by Procheshta Foundation and facilitated by pocaa. The event brought together residents to discuss their efforts to restore the Korail lake through community-led farming and cleaning initiatives.
Despite working in diverse jobs—tailoring, driving, caregiving, shopkeeping, and more—community members are using agro-ecological methods like floating gardens to grow vegetables and purify the lake. They shared key challenges such as pollution, lack of support, and insecurity over land use.
The workshop also focused on role management, where participants identified responsibilities within their groups to ensure coordinated action. Their energy and commitment reaffirm ReWET’s belief in the power of community-led, climate-resilient restoration.
