Climate Impacted Dwellers-Led Agro-ecological Stewardship for Restoring Wetlands
ReWET is a research-to-action project revitalizing an ecologically critical wetland in Dhaka through community-led, nature-based solutions. By working with local urban farmers and other grassroots activists, it aims to restore biodiversity, improve water quality, and strengthen climate resilience by developing an urban wetland stewardship model. Funded by UK FCDO and managed by IIED, ReWET pioneers a scalable model for sustainable wetland stewardship that benefits nature, people, and the climate.
কৃষি হলো মানব সভ্যতার আদিম পেশা। এর ফলে খাদ্যদ্রব্য সুলভ হয় এবং জীবন যাত্রা হয়ে উঠে অপেক্ষাকৃত সহজ ও নিশ্চিত। আদি যুগ থেকে নারীরা কৃষি কাজে সম্পৃক্ত ছিলো, সেই ধারাবাহিকতায় আমরা কড়াইলের নারীরা সম্পৃক্ত হয়ে আমাদের লেকে প্রাণ বৈচিত্র্য ফিরিয়ে এনে কৃষি উপযোগী করে সেখানে কৃষি কাজ করবো এবং নারীর ক্ষমতায়ানের এক উজ্জল দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করবো। লেক করবো নারী ও শিশু বান্ধব। আগামীর নারী ও শিশু থাকবে নিরাপদ।
ঝিলে ফিরে আসলে প্রান, সবাই মিলে করবে নগর আবাদের জয়গান।

Celebrating World Wetland Day!
কড়াইল ঝিলে প্রাণ ফিরিয়ে আনলে, এই লেক পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষায় ভূমিকা রাখবে। আমরা পরিস্কার পানি পাবো, মাছ পাবো, শাপলা-শালুক হবে, গরমের সময় লেক পাড়ে বসলে বিশুদ্ধ বাতাস পাওয়া যাবে। আমরা কড়াইলের বাসিন্দারা মিলেই আমাদের ঝিলের প্রান ফিরিয়ে আনার জন্য এক সাথে কাজ করবো। গুলশান, বনানী, কড়াইল - এই ঝিল আমাদের সবার। একটি সুন্দর পরিচ্ছন্ন ঝিল মানে শুধু জলাধার নয়, এটা আমাদের জীবন, জীবিকা আর ভালো থাকার উপায়। ঝিল বাঁচানো মানে আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ বাঁচানো।
