DNCC & Stakeholders Visit Korail STP to Address Sewage Challenges
As part of ongoing efforts to improve urban sanitation, DNCC officials—including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineer, Chief Waste Management Officer, and Environmental Officer—visited the UNICEF-installed Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Korail.
The visit included representatives from RAJUK, WASA, Gulshan Society, Banani Society, RDRC, and Nagar Abad.
RDRC and Nagar Abad are currently working on waste management in the Gulshan-Banani Lake area, applying nature-based filtration methods and engaging residents of the Korail informal settlement.
During the visit, Gulshan Society, Banani Society, RDRC, and Nagar Abad shared their insights and suggestions on improving sewage infrastructure and linking community-led efforts with institutional support.
This collaborative initiative marks a step forward in addressing critical sanitation issues through multi-stakeholder engagement.
