ReWET Hosts Initial Discussion on Agro-Ecological Toolkit with Consultants and Consortium Members

ReWET recently held a joint session combining its consortium meeting with the first round of discussions on developing the Agro-Ecological Toolkit. The session brought together all consortium partners along with technical consultants to brainstorm practical tools and strategies for promoting sustainable, community-led wetland restoration.

The discussion focused on identifying key agro-ecological practices suitable for urban wetland settings, especially for areas like Korail and Gulshan-Banani Lake. Consultants shared insights on climate-resilient farming, nature-based filtration, and low-cost sustainable interventions that could empower local stewards.

Alongside toolkit development, the meeting also reviewed ReWET’s overall progress and set priorities for the next phase of activities. The session emphasized collaborative learning and co-creation, ensuring that the toolkit will be adaptable to local contexts and driven by community needs.

ReWET remains committed to combining ecological knowledge with grassroots action to restore Dhaka’s urban wetlands.
