We distributed Deshi Sobji Beej ( local vegetable seeds ) to Korail's farmers, along with essential farming tools, including sickles, spades, crowbars, and harvesting sickles. We also provided safety equipment to the cleaning staff.
Md. Aminur Rasul Babul, Consultant at ReWET, visited and spoke with everyone about sustainable agriculture in the face of climate change. He explained how farmers can save and preserve their own seeds, reducing the need to purchase seeds each season and bringing lasting financial benefits over time.
ReWET's goal goes beyond distributing seeds. It is about helping Korail's farmers become self-reliant while bringing Deshi (local) crops back to the soil.
